Comprehensible Interface
High-risk AI systems must be designed to allow effective human oversight via appropriate human-machine interfaces.
Override Capability
Natural persons must be able to override or reverse AI system outputs. All overrides must be logged.
Intervention Authority
Human overseers must be able to interrupt, stop, or disable the AI system at any point during operation.
Anomaly Awareness
Overseers must be aware of automation bias, understand system limitations, and correctly interpret outputs.
